great April 29, 2010 uniformtaime (banbury, oxfordshire uk) was looking forward to this product as it was the first new style tv i have bought.
very easy to assemble the stand and connect cables without looking at the manual which is on a disc.
once i was set up it was very simple to get my picture which i just run through sky as my roof aerial is no good.
there are alot of settings for the colour which is good and also doesnt take long for the tv to come on after it has been switched off.
its true what other buyers have said that there is no blue around edge of frame its clear but it does have a blue power on light.
sound very good and also picture although there is a tiny bit of pixelilzation at times but that is no fault of the tv i think as i have a loose connection on sky box.
very good idea that there is an on/off switch at botton of tv so you dont need to leave it on standby
highly recomended though
Great TV! April 11, 2010 R. Marshall (Berkshire, England) Having searched around for a suitable full-HD-ready LCD TV, this one seemed to tick all the right buttons. Which? had given LG TVs good reviews in the recent past and there was no reason to expect anything different for this one. It arrived in good time but we didn't have time to unpack it until a few days later. Setting up was dead-easy - auto-tune function found all the Freeview channels that we wanted. Not having a full printed manual, it only being available on CD, meant that we are still learning the finer points of using it. The layout of the remote is very good making it easy to find programmes or change settings. We rate it as 5 star as it does everything we want and more, however, we don't have experience with any other similar TV other than occasionally watching a friend's set. The colour saturation is good and can be adjusted to suit both the programme and the viewers' preferences, similarly the sound, which is of good quality. It has lots of connection possibilities - USB, VGA, Scart, HDMI.... and we've got both a DVD recorder and our (old) VCR connected in. This lets us watch one programme and record two different others! We've also plugged in my laptop (Eee PC) and used it to present a Power Point show. The power consumption is low and a nice touch is being able to turn off the front panel indicator light when the set is off or when it's on. There are other nice things to be found in the manual but they're not essential to getting good viewing. One final point - the Freeview receiver does seem more sensitive than either a set-top box or our LG DVD recorder so that we have fewer problems receiving the range of channels (we're too far over the brow of a hill to get decent reception from the nearest transmitter and the other direction 'looks' through trees, so in wet and windy weather the signal degrades).
Total Don April 8, 2010 A. Hill (London) Got this TV based on the Which? recommendations for 32" LCDs & it now has my recommendation as well!
32 LG 4000 Digital TV February 6, 2010 M. N. Johns This set arrived from Amazon within 3 working days. It was easy to mount on it's stand & to secure to the wall for safty as recommended. The handbook provided gave a clear diagramatic explanation for the necessary connections & the set worked straight away. The picture quality in HD was excellent & a simple process tuned-in the Freeview channels.
