5 out of 5 stars Panasonic at its best..   August 10, 2010

My old 28" Panasonic CRT finally gave up after 11 long faithful reliable years. Having seen the poor quality of some the new LCD tv pictures, especially during quick movement sports events and poor colour matching i.e in dark scenes, where the black clarity was poor and some true colour missing I held off buying as long as possible. CRT was and is still difficult to beat on picture quality and sound.
However I was very impressed with this 32" LCD-LED Backlit TV. After reviewing it against some strong Sony Rivals in the shop. I bought it. The picture is crystal clear and sharp and did a very good job during fast movement scenes.e.g Formula 1. With no Blur. The sound was better than I expected having read reviews, how some were poor. Its still did not beat my old CRT, but the New LCD-LED TV being 8 X thinner and 5 x less weight, there are some sacrifices one has to make. You cant have everything. However its still well served with plenty of device connections 4x HDMI, internet wifi able with dongle, Freeview HD and Freesat HD etc etc.
Incidently since I bought this What Hifi (Sound and Vision) have awarded it 5 stars and it was a test winner against the very Sony models I had liked and tested it against i.e 503 & 507.
Since I bought it another Panasonic more expensive model has appeared although it uses the same internals, but has a choice of finishes including Silver, black and Purple!.

Likes: The Picture is clear crisp in all formats although outstanding in Blueray HD, infact wonderful and the colours are correct and precise- not over vivid like some Samsung LCDs can be. Ferrari red is Ferrari red not a faded off cerris7pink like some LCDs
The Remote is clear and easy to see and use even in a darkened room!
OK: Sound is ok, clear and precise, although not outstanding.
Dislikes: Not alot except EPG adverts on the menu screen (I hope this is not a sign of the future). You can aviod it use you

This TV has a lovely picture. The provision of both Freesat and Freeview HD allows a lot of scope when coupled with an HDD recorder to resolve programming conflicts. There are a lot of other goodies which I don't use, but which I can see would be very useful for others

3 out of 5 stars Picture great - sound yuk!   June 1, 2010

I owned one of these for about 24 hours - the picture is great but the sound is decidedly unsatisfactory - thin, echoey (if that's a word) and impossible to adjust to anything approaching comfortable. Of course for those who regard TV speakers as an unnecessary expense and intend listening through their hi-fi, its a great set! I don't know if I could have lived with the odd grey plastic surround as well. Fortunately the dealer took it back and reimbursed me in full.
PS You get adverts on the TV Programme Guide as well - not what you expect from your own TV - I get enough adverts on the tv programmes themselves. I bought a Sony 32W5810 the next day and it came with Freesat HD plus a free dish and installation - It would have been rude not to buy it! And the sound is fine!
