5 out of 5 stars One of the best 'value for money' products I've purchased   March 29, 2007

I bought this TV a month or so ago on a Clearance Website for £460 as there was a scratch on the back, which when I opened the box was only an inch long anyway!! I have to say I truly love this TV. It's just fantastic for the price you pay compared to other TV's in the same price banding.
I waited this long to write a review because I wanted to wait for the Playstation 3 quality on screen as the console has 1080p output and this TV is only 720p. I have been blown away by the TV's power. On a HDMI cable the PS3 scanned the TV for best Digital Output and selected 1080i which gave a much much better resolution than 720p when I selected it manually. The TV displays the picture beautifully and I can't fault it in this respect. I personally don't have an issue with the sound it produces either, it's loud and clear to fill a living room effortlessly but obviously if you want 5.1 or even 7.1 surround sound you'll need to connect an amplifier and surround speakers. I use just an Acoustic Solutions DS533 system which has a built in decoder in the Sub. It's £90 from Argos and such places but can really shift sound, while the bass is low and clean.
I have a friend who uses Pioneer Amps and a 1080 TV and this setup rarely loses in comparison. If you are looking for a mid-ranged TV and value for money, stop looking. You've found it.

5 out of 5 stars A really goood TV   February 7, 2007

I've had this TV a few weeks now. Although I'm yet to test out the TV aspect of it I have tried out using it as a PC Monitor, with a DVD player, XBox, Gamecube and PS2.
Using this TV with a standard DVD player gives great results, a really nice picture that shows off darks while still keeping detail in the scene.
Out of the 3 consoles I tested the PS2 was the only one which was slightly disappointing, it gave a muddy signal (this could because it's had a bit of a tough life, but can't say for sure) whereas Gamecube and Xbox provide nice sharp bright pictures with only slight distortion visible some of the time.
The DVI in function of this TV is Amazing. It's a great quality monitor which can be used to browse the internet (it maps pixel-to-pixel so) the picture is VERY sharp, and since a PC upscales all videos to the TVs resolution (1360x768), video with a decent codec, or from a DVD look almost HD.

If you've been wanting a TV that hooks up to your pc so you can browse the internet from across the room, or play media you've got backed up to a hard disk so you don't have to change DVDs all the time. Or watch freeview upscaled to HD by a computer. Or haven't really understood what I've been saying but like things that are shiny and black, then this is the TV for you.

I've had this TV for a couple of weeks and I'm very satisfied with it.

Picture quality is good, there are plenty of inputs, the menus are well laid out, and it looks nice.

The DVI input is especially nice, looks just as good as a dedicated LCD monitor (only bigger!) :)

The sound quality is fine for me.

I bought this TV after scouring through endless reviews of similarly priced 32" LCD's, and have not been disappointed.

It's stylish, and I have found the picture quality from standard digital broadcasts to be excellent (not tried with HD yet), far better than alot of others that I have seen.

It is easy to set up and use, and has an 'intelligent eye' feature which automatically adjusts brightness and contrast depending on the image on screen, which seems to work well.

The only downside is the awful sound quality (very tinny with hardly any bass), although alot of the TV's nowadays seem to suffer from this problem. I have mine rigged up to an amplifier with surround sound permanently, which is still a much cheaper solution then paying over a grand for a high-end LCD tv.

I Got This televison over the others because my friend has one and his PS2 looked amazing. My X-box 360 looks cool in HD and as for the sound the others slated it but all you have to do is adjust the Graphic Equalizer to your taste! myself when playing my xbox 360 i put it on music. I would recommened this over the more expensive 32" HD-TV's P.S it's ( P ) not ( I ) as in better picture ( progressive scan)
