1 out of 5 stars Complete Waste of Money   August 18, 2010
Brugha-og
I purchased a Samsung LCD television two years ago. I can say that it was a complete waste of money. In those two years the picture deteriorated quite badly. I contacted the store I purchased the television from to be told that the warranty was only for one year and it wouldn't be worth repairing as it would be cheap to purchase a new television. I contact Samsung customer Service to inquiry about quality of the television, to cut a long story short I am still waiting for a reply after contacting them on a number of occasion.

I believe that a television that costs 800 should last much longer that less than two years and I also believe that a company like Samsung should have the courtesy to reply to customers e-mails and telephone calls.

I recommend that you avoid Samsung and purchase Sony, Panasonic or Toshiba instead.

Lovely television but has some annoying features eg. speed of channel changing, the tv guide takes forever to load! It looks great but there are better on the market!

We already own a Samsung TV,DVD Player and Mobile Phone so we know the Manufacturers Products well. From taking the TV out of the box, fixing the stand,we had the television on within five minutes. Both the picture and sound are superb. However, our teenage Son expects far more from a TV these days and connected his Xbox 360 using one of the 3 HDMI connectors available.Later he connected his Computer using the VGA connection.Still not content he added a 2.1 surround sound system to enhance gaming.Trust me,when playing some of his war games, you feel your genuinely in a war-zone.Great Picture and Connectivity make this a superb purchase.Buy it and enjoy every second.

As a newby to lcd tv's and the fact I was renovating my bedroom I wanted to make the jump from my 20 inch sony tube tv which was perfectly fine but in order to save vital space and satasfy my viewing needs I went on the hunt for a shiny new fancy flatscreen set to parade on the wall(it's all the rage!)but before buying online I went round the usual high st stores-currys,comet etc to make sure in by having a look and comparing prices as i already had an idea I wanted this one from looking a pictures in buyers guides etc and yes call me vain but I went for this one purely on the looks and believe me it looks even sexier in person so went to read a few reviews etc and was satasfyed by the mainly positive feedback so I went and ordered it online at comet (forgive me amazon)then when I unpacked it WOW it was so easy to set up with its smart wizard type program you just follow a few prompts and your away.once its all tuned in you have to fiddle with the picture settings to get the best possible picture I find that if you have it's backlight function at 9 or 10 it works best the,now I live in an area that as yet can't pick up freeview but I have sky so that's not a big downer I bought this sort of tv for sky sports i.e.the footie, and for watching my ever growing dvd collection and yes the anologue picture is'nt great to be honest but do I really need to see eastenders and corrie in glorious hd,the viewing for dvds and sport is great the blacks are also good for a lcd I also like the fact the speakers are hidden inside that lip curve thingy at the bottom that was a reason I chose this over the sony bravia which I thought looked boring which as a previous sony lover left me dissapointed by what I saw to be lazy design unlike samsungs range sometimes I just sit there and admire it all lush there on the wall.overall then as a tv I can come home to after a day at work and watch football/dvds for couple of hours worth of relaxation etc it's just what I want and no it does'nt matter that a new range of full hd tvs are out as I love, sorry worship this tv did I mention that I liked it?
