Disaster December 29, 2009 Mr. T. Reynolds (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Product arrived promptly but when installed the DVD player won't load DVD's. Amazon didn't have any more so got LG to come and repair it. Originally it was going to fixed on site but then I got another call to say it would be collected. After mix up after mix up they finally collected three days late. No telephone calls to say they weren't arriving, just had to stay in three days until it was collected. When I called them it took up to 20 minutes to get an answer on the telphone on an '087' number. I wonder how much that has cost me? No notification from LG on when product will be returned so I await their call with interest. Most of the problems are with LG & I'm not impressed with their customer service.

Hey guys n girls,
So your thinking of buying this TV... Do it! Honestly this TV is pretty high in demand and ive been informed by a few dealers Comet, Currys, PC World that this product is an end of line TV theres not gona be any more made after this year "apparently" this TV is unusual because of the size of the TV and being a COMBO. if you dont believe me google 32" TV with Built in DVD Player. see how many you find.
OK SO YOUR BACK FROM SEARCHING! lol
the tv is brilliant. admittedly wish they made a 42" but then i like big tvs the picture is perfect (Providing you have a decent ariel/DIGITAL) also very versatile plays a-hem "dvds from the pub" havent tried any other regions so cant comment on that.
XBOX360 is excellent.
several different visual tempratures (cool, cinema, warm, game, sport)
customisable visual tempratures and audio too
no hanging wires for DVD (wots the point of having a flat screen on the wall if your just gona stick a dvd player somewhere)
easy to use... even my granny could work it HONESTLY
nice remote,
well designed
easy to clean (no speaker holes to get mr sheen stuck in)
kool little "Terminator eye" standbye light LMAO freaks my girlfriend out all the time
easy to use 7 day EPG "Electronic Programme Guide" you can actually set reminders for a week in advance
set alarms to come on and turn off i.e alarm starts at 6am turns off automatically at 8am
honestly this tv is brilliant. im so glad i got one
only bad thing is-
wheres the 52" COMBO??????? sort it out LG! :-D
Great product with only slight niggles... November 17, 2009 P. Oneill (Wigan, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this on a special offer from another retailer, but have been very pleased with the TV so far.
Our only experience of LCD was a very cheap 19" we purchased for the bedroom and I was a little wary of buying one for the front room. Having heard about so many stories of people not being able to view from particular angles and in particular light, contrast ratios and brightness issues it can be a little daunting.
However, taking the plunge and getting the machine home, it took little time to set up and on the whole I am very happy with the purchase. Replacing a 28" widescreen CRT TV, the picture is clear and sharp and positioned in the corner of a medium sized living room can be seen clearly from all angles. The inbuilt DVD player works fine with no sound issues I have come across and I have tried several different audio streams.
For the niggles, the Freeview couldn't cope with the automatic tuning. I had to go through manually to tune after it only automatically found about 10 TV and 8 radio stations on a single channel. Took about 10 minutes and not too complicated, but still. The cheap 19" model upstairs finds all channels with no problems off the same aerial. I also had experience of the 26" model in a recent trip to the hospital as they'd bought one for a new day room and the tuning problem was the same there. I had to manually tune that for them too.
Secondly, there seems to be no automatic input recognition of the Sky box (SCART), DVD player (HDMI) or Wii (composite). This means manually seeking the input each time you turn a new box on.
Overall as a first main LCD screen for the house it is a good one which I am pleased with.
Worth every penny November 6, 2009 Mrs. H. R. Root 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After doing a lot fo research and comparisons on both price and spec, this TV seemed to be one of the best. Bought it for my 82 yr old Mum and cannot praise it enough. Fantastic picture, sound and the DVD is easy to use as well. Easy to install, was up and running within 5 mins of unpacking. Very, very pleased.

good quality tv October 25, 2009 D. Ormshaw (yorkhire, uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i bought this product for my bedroom, have it wall mounted, it tuned in effortlessly, the remote response time is pretty good compared with my other tv, it is comfortably viewed from a good range of angles without lessening the picture quality like some do, the dvd player is good and simple to use and can play a variety of discs all in all a good buy especially when you compare it to other large tv's with built in dvd players
