| Customer Reviews: Very good September 4, 2010 Dr. J Excellent display with deep blacks. Easy to set up. Internet function is great. Massive selection of inputs. Only downside (which I think is a function of how good the display is) is that older tv programmes can look a little odd, because they are so crisp.
Great Product - Careless Shipping July 10, 2010 DG 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great TV! However, Amazon did a horrible job of shipping such an expensive item. I would not recommend purchasing any expensive item from Amazon. The item was packaged appropriately in the original packaging; however, the package shipper did not take proper care of the package. The TV's outer box was damaged (from falling) and the delivery man was carrying the TV and my Blue Ray player (ordered also from Amazon) in one hand and his delivery computer (for signature) in other. He was about to drop my TV on the staircase and luckily I saw it and ran to take it from his hand. Amazon should ensure that the items are delivered in good condition and appropriate instructions should be given for delivery. I would appreciate if this note is forwarded to the appropriate supervisor.
Nice Telly July 10, 2010 TonyTheTiger 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Had this for a couple of weeks now. This was 1 of 3 options, others being a Sony and a Philips. Philips didnt have Freeview HD and Sony not so slim. This had sharpest picture. Freeview HD is quite a bit better than standard Freeview or standard Sky - not many channels yet though. Nice and slim. Screws on back are M8 and my wall bracket only came with M4 and M6 bolts - so bracket needed drilling and new screws sourced and cut to length.
Not expecting to use the internet features - pretty limited and gimiky unless they upgrade the features in the future. Cant really fault the telly - good picture, sound above average and goes fairly loud, slim, good looks. Bought with 3 yr warranty as my old LG telly died at 14 months old and LG told me to stuff it. Do not buy LG - I never will again.
Fabulous June 11, 2010 ./ 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Wow!! What a TV!
Both Freeview SD and Freeview HD content look amazing without any tweaking of the picture settings. Watched the queens tennis on BBC HD - just wow! The in built media player is fantastic: plays all my videos, pictures and mp3's from memory stick and external hard drives superbly.
The internet@TV is a bit of a gimmick until they put iplayer on it in my opinion. Hooked up a laptop for now which also displays brilliantly.
I don't know what people are complaining about with the sound, any TV speakers are not going to match a surround system. For daily viewing however, these are surprisingly really good.
The EPG (user interface) is very easy and clear to use.
It also looks stunning turned off! I love the styling and how thin it is! Plus a cool party piece: the front buttons are not buttons! The clear plastic surround is touch sensitive meaning you just touch the 'buttons'!!
Low power consumption is also a bonus so you'll save money in the long run.
This is a best in class TV, I have no hesitation recommending it or any similar Samsung TV.
This is how TV should be! June 1, 2010 Christopher Hunter (London, UK) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
A wonderful picture with plenty of choices to adjust it to your taste. Audio is a bit thin - the speakers have poor bass response. I have the TV connected to Sennheiser cordless headphones and to external speakers WOW!!! It might be more expensive than basic LCD TVs, but the extra money is well worth spending! The best TV in class by a long way!
