Amazing purch! September 2, 2010 Rvtherc WOW what a purchase, after all the trouble I had with this order I am SOOO HAPPY with this set, calibrated it and it looks great!!!!
LG LD450 TV September 2, 2010 V. Storey After much research, this was our decided buy. Excellent picture - great control with colour, horizontal and vertical bars and LOVE the "Clear Voice". We had an old Sony prior to this, and the sound was excellent. However, with the flat screen, you can't get that "surround sound" without speakers and a sub woofer. Slight vibration but otherwise very good. Would recommend. Easy set up and I've managed to get it linked to our old set box so we can record whilst watching another channel on freeview! Slight problem with the remote - the left arrow sticks - however that might be just ours and I'm going to ask LG about it. Overall, excellent TV - our first LCD.
LG TV August 30, 2010 Mr. Ian M. Holmes I bought this TV after reading the reviews of various different manufacturers. I have to say that I am very pleased with my choice. This TV is great value for money. It was easy to put together and tuning in was simple and straight forward. I have no hesitation in recommending this TV to other buyers.
LG 32LD450 32 Inch August 29, 2010 The Ju Ju Hound PIcture quality superb, easy set up, easy to navigate, plenty of sound and visual options to suit your room/needs etc.
The only drawback and it is a minor one, when changing channel using freeview, it tells you channel number/name but not what program is on, like other freeview packages. But like I said, that is minor. Good value for money, dvd's look amazing through it also.
Good TV But Faulty July 25, 2010 P. Townsend (Belfast, UK) 16 out of 22 found this review helpful
Bought this after 2 months of researching and comparing. The known issues on previous LG models of speakers hissing and vertical lines on screen seem to have been resolved and LG have very much raised the bar with this. It was a toss up between a Samsung and this, but went for the LG as my existing TV is an LG and meets my needs.
Well packagaed and neatly presented. Some thought has gone into the ergonmic design of the remote control with it's raised volume and channel buttons and also the battery compartment has a little rubber string so you don't loose it - a fantastic idea in itself. I use this for watching standard def freesat and dvds, with the odd flick onto the HD channel when something decent is on.
Picture quality is very impressive with bold bright colours and sharp images. I have a normal sized living room and watch this from a distance of about 3/4 meters and the picture quality is very good. It's much improved on my previous LG flat screen.
The sound is very god also on this with an impressive surround effect. Obviously with lcd TVs one compromise is lack of bass (due to physical size required for the speakers) but this TV has more than enough for my needs.
There are plenty of controls and adjustments for every aspect of the tv - you can even set the blue 'I'm switched on' light off - nice touch.
For the downsides - I had to return the first one I got of these as there was very obvious bleeding around the frame from the backlight, creating a permanent white glow over the screen along the right hand side - very annoying!
Amazon issued a replacement and collected the faulty one - very easy, all done online - great customer service Amazon! However, the replacement arrived last week and while it's picture doesn't have the backlight bleeding, there is a very disturbing and loud humming noise coming from the back of the TV! Sounds as if it's going to take off! Will send this one back and hope for 3rd time lucky!
Overall this is a great TV, aslong as you can get on that actually works!
