Love this TV! July 25, 2010 JapanMan (UK) I've had this TV for 3 years now and it's still running perfectly. I Personally love the looks of the TV, it really does fit in well in my living room.
The picture quality is fantastic and the sound is crystal clear, especially when connected to a HD device via HDMI cable.
With the Viera Link I can control my Panasonic Home Cinema System (Viera Link compatible) through my TV's remote which is awesome.
Overall I would recommend this product if you can get your hands on it, although now 3 years later there are better quality TV's out there (for a greater price), this TV does the job if you don't want to fork out loads.
Best in class! January 17, 2009 Guven Turemen (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using this Tv for nearly a year now. I did a lot of research before ordering it, and this was regarded as one of the best in its class by reputable review web sites. My musts were a really powerful sound (in order to get rid of all the speaker cables around the living room!) and 100 Hz, and the 32LXD700 ticked all the boxes for me. I managed to find a very good deal at Dixons at the time, but had to wait about a month for it to come into stock. It also cost me around £100 more than the 70 model, on which the sound wasn't as powerful. I am happy to say now that it was worth the wait and the extra 100 quid! I am very pleased with this TV and haven't had any problems with it so far (touch wood!).
I have Sky, so I'm not using the freeview features of it, but I tried when it first arrived and the quakity was better than Sky! then a change of scart lead improved the display quality of Sky too. I'm still convinvced that I'm not doing this TV justice by not getting a Sky HD, however PS3 games and Blue-ray discs are a joy to play and watch on the Panasonic.
It looks very cool as well!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this TV. Even though it's been almost a year since I bought it, I reckon it's still the best 32" LCD out htere!
A great TV. April 23, 2008 Bazz2004 (Willenhall,, West Midlands United Kingdom) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
When our Panasonic 26" CRT began to expire after many years good service we chose one of these. The 700 has proved to be an excellent replacement. It's been with us over 9 months now. Important features include 100Hz which gives an improved frame rate making action sequences run more smoothly. The picture quality on Freeview is brilliant. Even the display of black is good which is a triumph for an LCD screen. Its speakers are well designed and enabled us to scrap the hi-fi. Our music now plays back back over the TV in mp3 format without any extra paraphernalia. This TV is very easy to set up and control.
Excellent quality February 28, 2008 Thoughtful reviewer (London, UK) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Panasonic make excellent value, pound for pound TVs. Only Pioneer are better for large plasmas but for LCD screens up to 32inch they consistently make excellent products. The golden rule is up to 32inch, LCD is king but above that the deeper black levels and higher contrast of plasmas wins the day.
This TV looks quality straight out of the box, is built very well and blends seemlessly into the room.
The off air picture using the in built freeview (ie normal tv) is just so good its incredible - the colours are vibrant, there is minimal noise and depth of picture is amazing.
Loading up a dvd using a component cable takes things to a higher plane and using a decent dvd source wit decent HDMI cable - in my cas arcam solo movie 2.1 and QED HDMI cable provides a truly sumptious picture.
The TV is not Full HD, ie 720p only but done be fooled by this. Remember you need a big screen to appreciate the superior resolution of Full HD and a 32inch screen that is full HD wont allow you to witness the extra resolution. Even then, many Full HD screens cant handle motion correctly at 24fps.
The sound is also very good on this unit if you dont want to hook up to a hifi or AV amp.
Functionality is excellent with 3 HDMI inputs, the remote control is a dream.
Overall, no complaints - it may be slightly more expensive than most 32inch LCDs but there is a good reason for this.
Excellent Television February 22, 2008 John Bastable (Hampshire, England) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this set to replace my old Panasonic Quintrix 32 inch CRT. It works seamlessly with my Panasonic DVD recorder and VM V+ box. HD pictures through the V+ box are stunning. The Freeview tuner is the best I've experienced. The 32LXD700 makes a very good job of SD TV and DVD as well. The three HDMI ports are very handy (I've used two already). The sound is very good and quite acceptable for movie watching. I connect to my hifi for the extra bit of omph for the occasional movie and that works well. The remote control is easy to use and responds quickly. I would have preferred more contrast but I understand that this is class leading as far as LCD's are concerned. We are viewing from nine feet away and this is fine. You can sit several feet further forward viewing HD or photos from an SD card. Highly reccommended.
