Excellent value for money April 11, 2009 Tim Howard (London, UK) The Philips 32PFL5522D is an excellent TV at a very reasonable price. Worked right out of the box, Freeview setup was a breeze and has been working impeccably since I bought it about 9 or 10 months ago. I also use it connected to my laptop from time to time and it works very well for that too. The audio might not be the best ever which is why I dropped one star off an otherwise impeccable tv.
Great TV December 14, 2008 L. Pendlebury 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this tv a couple of months ago and its been brilliant the pictures very good the sounds good and my ps3 in 1080p looks stunning, its easy to switch from the av things on the controller (ie selecting hdmi socket 1 or hdmi socket 2) the remote is ok but the back of it has broken, the tv can be wall mounted however ive decided to just put it on the table, the stand looks amazing. all round very good tv.
Nearly the best TV ever owned July 31, 2008 Go Go (Norfolk) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased one of these TV's a couple of months ago, we actually only wanted a 26" for the bedroom and ended up with 32" for the same price - one major benefit I found immediately is I can still see the TV without my glasses on and the sound is terrific plus with built in freeview no additional remote controls to loose in the bedcovers. I would recommend this set wholeheartedly for anywhere around the house. The only reason I mark this as second best was because we bought a 50" plasma for the lounge and you just cannot beat that.
Not the best experience June 5, 2008 Laura in the UK (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We are now on our 3rd replacement TV. Each one has had something go off on it, the first was the sound - there was no stereo sound as one side of the speakers just stopped working, the second, made a horrible high pitched whining sound when you turned it on, and it took forever to turn on... and now the third (and last replacement as Amazon no longer stocks it) this one arrived with a nice big chip/dent out of the top of the screen. So although it seems like a good tv overall, we've been exceptionally unlucky. If you have the option for warranty cover, I'd take it... you'll need it!
