I was very unsure about getting a LCD TV and read endless reviews. LED technology is the one of the most current and write-ups said this gave the best contrast ratio and colours. I've looked at the Samsung TV - stunningly slim but the LED technology is only used as a substitute for fluorescent tubes with some clever manipulation of LEDs at the edges to give the illusion of better blacks and brighter colours. The Sharp LED TV actually uses a second set of LEDs behind the screen which gives a much better picture as they cover all the screen not just the edges. The result is a fantastic colour and vibrant images. I'm well impressed to say the least. Add to this 100hz, 1080p of course and more imputs than you can shake a stick at plus a massive variation of picture - and sound - choices you cannot help but be impressed. Would recommend to anyone looking for current technology or wanting to upgrade.
