Although it just says that this TV is just HD ready is actually 1080i which is just as good as a 1080p tv but you don@t have to pay as much :)

Having bought this exceptionally well reviewed Sony, we both found the picture quality to be underwhelming. We had to adjust the colour brightness and balance almost to it's peak to get the brightness we needed. But we came to love it altho it did have a strange habit of switching itself off for no apparent reason and then coming back on immediately. Even this we forgave it for because generally it was great to watch and the sound quality was superb.
The final straw came the day the picture turned into a stripey rainbow effect. It turns out the chipset has failed after only 2 years, making it too expensive to repair. This seems a little bit rubbish compared to the 15 year old Philips we had before this. It was used just as much and only died cos I threw a vase of water down the back of it.

we spent days looking for a TV to fit in a defined space, this was the one and and thankfull it is a great one, colour,sound and ease of use, a great price from Amazion.

I have had no proplems with the TV, Looks sharp on digital tv, Xbox 360 looks very good and my Wii looks better than on most LCD's I have seen running it. Highly recommended

Brillian TV, have it for about 8 mths, mostly watch from standart free view areal outstanding picture, have not seen anything better quality in electrical shops jet, 10 stars to this TV, looking to buy another sony bigger screen for reception room
